Nutrient potent Microgreens

Microgreens are the youngest version of vegetable. They are highly potent at nutritional levels. To get most of its benefits, you have to consume in raw form. They look tiny, but when it comes to nutrition it adds lots of value there.

Research shows that “the microgreens were found 4 – 40 fold more concentrated with nutrients than their mature counterparts” says researcher Qin Wang, Ph.D., assistant professor at the University of Maryland in college park.

However, it is similar to sprouts but they have differences. Sprout are newly germinated seeds that people harvest just as the seed begins to grow and before their leaves develop. On the other side, microgreens are grown from sprout and they have leaves.

People usually grow sprouts in water and harvest them in 2-3 days. And microgreen can be grown in soil and water, but they need sunlight to grow. You can harvest them in 2-3 weeks after they have their first pair of true leaves.
