People are choosing to live their lives in a healthy way. With lifestyle modification like a healthy diet, exercise and sleep, they have made their life better. Everyone should also pay attention to the time of dinner. Studies have proven that when you eat is as important as what you eat. Having early dinner plays an important role in your health. Why you should have early dinner? because it adds lots of value to your lifestyle.
You might have fixed mindset that timing doesn’t matter if you are eating very clean and healthy food. Unfortunately, timing does matter.
By having early dinner you give your body a time to digest and also absorption of nutrients from your dinner also needs some time. Having a late-night dinner and falling sleep within an hour after you eat won’t give time to your stomach for digestion. Because you are sleeping with a full stomach, your digestive process continues while you are sleeping. Eventually, it affects your growth hormone and insulin level also.
Why you should have an early dinner?
• Weight control
If you want your weight to be in control then you have too take dinner early, you can eat whatever you like. You can have a high-calorie diet if you are going to eat your dinner between 6:30 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Take a long walk after eating and only sleep after 3-4 hours.
• Good sleep
Over stuffing or over eating too close to your bedtime can increase the risk of heartburn, indigestion, making harder to falling sleep. Eating late puts your body in high alert mode. On the other hand, if you eat early, it’s not only affects your digestion but your sleep as well and you awake energized.
• Healthy heart
life Most of our meals contains sodium. These extra sodium makes you blot and you might experience facial puffiness, when you wake up. But more significantly it gives you risk of high blood pressure. Having late dinner doesn’t help our body to flush out sodium.
• Improve digestion
If you are late eater than you must have some sorts of digestion issues like bloating, heartburn, smelly burps, diabetes, unhealthy weight gain, etc.. By just doing modifying your daily routine you can get rid of these problems.
• Energy level increase
By eating late night dinner, you will not fill hungry that much and you will not be able to eat proper breakfast and due to which you will feel a lack of energy throughout the day.
• Reduce the risk of cancer
A cancer study showed that those who eat dinner at least two hours before bed have a reduced risk of cancer. For men, there was a 26% reduced risk of prostate cancer, and for women, there was a 16% reduced risk of breast cancer.
People who work in nightshift
What is the solution for people like doctors, pilots, students and security guard? They need their sleeping time. For that, it is going to be 8 or 9 a.m., What you have to do is stop eating 4 hours before you plan to sleep.
It may not with sunset and sunrise but you are following the rule of not to eat at least 4 hours before you sleep.
What if you have to socialize for late dinner parties?
- You can eat your dinner at regular time around 6:30 – 7:00 P.M., then go and attend the party. You can have a light snack or soup after that.
- If you have to have a meal at a late-night party then try not to have a heavy meal.
If you have a WILL to do simple things, there is always a way. Listen to your body, if you are hungry than have your meal if not then don’t stuff your self.
By respecting your digestive system, you can increase your immunity. Just being in rhythm will increase your daily energy level, decreases your body’s appetite, and lessens sweet desires. Sooner you will have flat stomach, and no more need of caffeine!! 🙂
